Home Schooling Supervision

Al-Huda School is authorized by the state of Maryland to supervise students in home schooling.

Home Instruction Under Supervision Of Al-Huda School

Al-Huda School has been registered as supervising home instruction. Schools and education ministries that supervise home instruction must comply with the supervisory requirements of the home instruction bylaw, COMAR 13A.10.01(enclosed). Parents of students who are enrolled in home instruction must submit a prescribed consent from the local Superintendent of Schools at least 15 days before enrollment in home instruction. The consent form may be obtained from the local school system.

A school or institution offering Home Instruction Supervision should include at a minimum all of the following components:

1- Pre-enrollment conferences with the parents or the guardians.

2- Textbooks, lesson materials, and other instructional materials or equipment designed to be used independently by the pupil at a site other than a school.

3- Annual visits by supervisory personnel to the site where the pupil is receiving instruction.

4- Conferences with parents or guardians at appropriate intervals during the period of enrollment.

THE GRADES AND THE STATES

Home Instruction Supervision Program includes KG through 12th grade.

Home Instruction Supervision Program accepts students from Maryland (we are still working on registration with other states)

IMPORTANCE OF REGISTERING WITH AL-HUDA SCHOOL

1- You will be dealing with Muslim staff.

2- Sooq Al-Huda can help you getting your textbooks at cheaper prices (please, contact Sooq Al-Huda)

3- Enroll your children at Arabic Institute, Qura’n Institute, and Marshal Arts (discounted fees?)

4- Inform you of different activities at Dar-Us-Salaam and Al-Huda School.

Admission Requirements

1) Completed application form with a non-refundable application fee of $ 40 (application form can be obtained from the front office at Al-Huda School)

2) A copy of the consent form that was submitted to the local Superintendent at least 15 days before the beginning of a home instruction program.

3) Pre-enrollment conference with Al-Huda School representative for Home Instruction Supervision Program.

Noncompliance with HOME INSTRUCTION requirements
